Death is a normal part of life—the lesson of grief that we cannot escape. Sponsored by the Board of Management of the Chinese Permanent Cemeteries (BMCPC), HKACS produced a life-and-death animated education video “Everywhere” with local characteristics, which was directed by the renowned local animators Step Cheung and Tommy Ng.

Everywhere Premiere
The premiere cum sharing session of “Everywhere” was held at the Golden Scene Cinema in Sheung Wan on June 24. Addressing the audience at the premiere, the Committee Member of the BMCPC, Ms Lai Wing-yan, praised the animators for cleverly incorporating local characteristics and engaging local audiences with the cultural aura of Hong Kong, which could effectively promote the life and death education among local youths and break the Chinese taboo towards death. The President of HKACS, Dr Leong Che-hung, hopes that the education video will encourage the public to face death and cancer with positive and open-minded attitudes.

After the premiere, Step and Tommy were interviewed by the renowned host Joey Leung and discussed with our social worker, Phoenix Ng, on ways to cope with grief.

We also held school tour at multiple second schools, so that the student could know more about life and death education.
